Quote from: rofl on February 17, 2024, 16:38:21It's the most laughable pick on 16:10 I've seen in my life. If you are, like all normal people, adjusting the screen so it's perpendicular to your eyes - and you are not 130 cm tall - you will not be able to see keyboard reflection with any aspect ratio in this universe with it's physics laws.
Funny that you mention height because the taller you are that more you have to either lift your laptop up or sit lower or simply tilt your head down to get a guaranteed neck pain.
Alternatively,
you can sit like this. If you are 130 cm tall you can actually sit perfectly straight
in a perfect sitting posture with correct and healthy head position and looking angle. My daughter is currently 136, I am 198 so I'm not just basing my opinion from the internet but also from my own experiences. I sold my Legion 5 Pro 16:10 because gaming at evening or at night was impossible even with completely red backlit set to minimum brightness, it was still reflecting on the bottom part of the display unless I was sitting like that guy above where my chin was 15-20 cm above the keyboard.
Also the taller you are the more you see that keyboard backlight reflection and if you stand up and look down at the laptop it is emphasized to its fullest. Then again read what I said - gaming laptops:

...they generally have taller keys with more open keycaps so
the RGB can shine for wow!!!1 meaning more light is going to "escape" around.
They look like they are flying on that glowing light below them. 99% of non-gaming laptops won't suffer from that effect, like your usual "multimedia", "creator", "business" and other categories of laptops because their keyboards are shallower. There are also some excellent exceptions where they pay attention to their keyboard design like the whole Blade lineup from Razer where there is no backlight reflection even with full brightness in front of a fully black scene on the screen but then again those laptops are very pricey and you won't find them new in a 1300€ price range.
Edit: My friend's Helios 16, recorded this moment from a normal sitting position. You can't say you don't see that, lol.
