Das VivoBook bringt nicht die allerneueste Hardware (Alder Lake, Ampere) mit, punktet aber an anderer Stelle: Asus verbaut ein leuchtstarkes 16-Zoll-Display (2.560 x 1.600 Pixel) im 16:10-Format samt hoher Bildwiederholrate (120 Hz) und hervorragender Farbraumabdeckung (DCI-P3).

Again, a completely bad keyboard with a damaged numpad and an idiotic power button inside the keyboard, as well narrow by height for Esc, F1..F12. Which immediately puts an end to the entire series as a universal laptop for home and work.

The performance of the laptop is shameful (for 12700) and the noise is huge. This is level Zen3 5800H for 2021 year.

Even the proprietary feature of Asus - the quality sound of the internal speakers here is regrettable.

Why does the screen need a DCI-P3 coating, without support for the HDR600+ profile? It only causes problems for all consumers due to poisonous, oversaturated colors when trying to view content made in sRGB. Emulation of sRGB space, as usual, was not even considered in the review. As far as it is adequate from the factory and accurate. Most buyers do not have hardware calibrators and will be forced to look at incorrect, poisonous, oversaturated colors.

At the same time, for professional color work, there is insufficient AdobeRGB coverage. That is, the buyer receives neither this(accuracy for sRGB coverage) nor that (ARGB coverage for professional work with color).

The port layout is extremely unfortunate for a right-hander. And audio socket place not good for left-hander. For universal laptop need 2 audiosocket - on left and right.

In general, it is not clear what to pay for here except for a screen that is at least fast enough in response and has enough contrast, but this is just an outdated 2.5k for 2023, not 4k@120Hz, which costs only 30-40$ more in retail. Why not 4k panel, Asus?

Until all Chinese manufacturers of the second tier understand that the keyboard should be with a classic numpad and the size of all keys, and the power button is taken out separately, they will not be able to mass-sell laptops like Lenovo.

Auf genau diesen Test habe ich gewartet!

Ich habe den Laptop vor ein paar Monaten "blind" gekauft - normalerweise lese ich immer vorher einen Test von euch dazu - und finde ihn aber auch so wahnsinnig gut.

Das mit den lauten Lüftern stimmt, es gibt im Boot-Menü sogar einen Test, bei dem die Lüfter nochmals deutlich lauter werden können. Im Alltag selbst im Leistungsmodus werden diese Lautstärken aber nie erreicht...

Mega gut, dass ich den Test jetzt lesen konnte. Ich wollte das Gerät schon mal öffnen, um RAM und die SSD upzudaten. Ich finde es super, dass ein 2. Slot für eine SSD vorhanden ist, muss ich nicht die eine austauschen.



Allerdings muss ich eure Alternative bemängeln:

"Als Alternative käme das Dell Inspiron 16 Plus 7620 in Frage"

Genau den hatte ich davor und ihn nach wenigen Wochen zurückgegeben, da der Dell einige Probleme hatte!
Das Trackpad ging oft nicht und wurde immerhin getauscht. Aber das große Problem dort sind wieder die (3!) Lüfter! Diese laufen dort ständig, egal ob Idle, Last, sogar im Ruhezustand.
Ist ein Designproblem, da im geöffneten Zustand die rückseitigen Abwärmeöffnungen durch das Display komplett verdeckt werden. Fatale Fehlkonstruktion!!
