LG has begun upgrading the Wing to Android 12, seven months on from the device's last OS update. Android 12 brings several changes to the device and contains the latest set of Android security patches. Rolling out in South Korea first, Android 12 is over a 1.5 GB download and is the LG Wing's penultimate OS upgrade.

Why LG completely chickened out of the phone market remains a mystery.

Asian tech companies seem resolutely opposed to learning from Apple's success.

LG should have simply pared down their offering and focused on making a few thing well.

It's so simple, but maybe Korean business culture prevents it.

Until the G7 came around, and before the G4/V10 were released, LG was on a roll and actually had successful devices.

The issues arised when the bootloop crap happened, and the G5 failed ecosystem along with the G6 having a lot of variants brought them down.
V series was niche at that point, and after that, they could never recover. Samsung ate them up with marketing and more different devices (which is something LG lost when V30 got released, since both lines were pretty much the same thing).

One of the main reason behind this was that LG didn't market their phones to more countries. As far as I remember, LG always focused on their homeland, the USA, and India. There are certain times where LG phones officially made its ay to the EU, but it's hardly worth noticing. LG can actually make great phones, but people don't care about them.

People tend to forgot that Google had it even worse with the Huawei Nexus 6P.
