A storm seems to be brewing after a faked Geekbench score was used in a recent video from the highly popular Mrwhosetheboss tech channel on YouTube. The result for a supposed Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra device with an Exynos 2200 chip was shown with a much higher multi-core score than expected. The show's host, Arun Maini, has made it clear that no foul play was intended.

Serious question. After Cyberpunk 2077, Xiaomi's disastrous software/extreme heat/ads, etc. huge fake high review scores, which *wise* consumer would take any of these shill reviews as a guide to purchasing a product today?!

What shocks me about this whole scandal is that there are Exynos fans out there. How masochist do you need to be in order to genuinely support a System on Chip that has been discontinued by Samsung in its own home country? This is really unbelievable.

What I don't get is why people are so stupid that even when it's shown that these scam companies (apple,Samsung) are lying to your face and ripping you off over pricing their products and taking things out of the package like charger bricks and headphones. Things that, mind you, come with virtually every budget and mid-level phone. And let's not forget cases which ALSO come with budget and mid level phones, but has never been offered with the 1000 dollar + plus phones that I know of. People still run to buy these greedy scammers garbage! Do you all like looking like a foolish sucker? Allowing these companies, infact encouraging these companies to make you look like fools because you STILL go buy their stuff rather then boycotting it, forcing them either drop prices for the same things you were paying over a 1000 for by quite a bit ( if people refuse to buy the stuff) or lose out on all their products because the stuff is just sitting there not moving! I used to think Samsung was the best, until I realized how much they are suckering people with their stuff and their pricing. If you are paying top dollar for something, wouldn't you expect to have the very best for that money? Yet they don't give that to you, with their "fast" 20w 25w charging speeds. There are budget phones that have 60 + watt charging which comes with the phone mind you, that cost 1/4 or less of what these con men charge! Wake up people! And stop being stupid! We don't have to buy their over priced garbage, but they do have to sell it if they want to stay in business!

The detail you're missing has been hidden: There are at least 83 companies that are profiting off of slave labor in Xinjiang which include Apple, Samsung, Nike etc., which is an abonimable example of corporate greed. So what corporations do is create a counter-spin, claiming to be virtuous by supporting (fake) environmentalism, and appalling causes like the trans rights issue, to negate the truth about their conduct of supporting modern-day slavery and concentration camps.

Do a web search for 83 companies xinjiang.

Given he wants to portray himself as a legitimate tech youtuber, he should know what scores a phone, especially the latest one gets in Geekbench and not allow these unfortunate mistakes to slip into videos because people will always spot and remember the only bad thing you did and forget all the good things.

What a bullshit artist. The fake image just coincided with what he wanted to do in first place and no he has a story to fall back on.

If that was his intention then why did display it as if it was his benchmark?

Just goes to show in the last 10 years how many phone reviews were just simply fake.

I believe he was just oblivious. He didn't know. It was a honest mistake. This is the guy that still has a video on YouTube where he calls Linux "L-eye-nux". Honest mistake of an English native speaker who doesn't know much about modern Technology. You can't possibly be into tech and never have heard about Linux, can you? Also he evidently doesn't do any research either.

He's charming and their editing is very good. Awesome even. Which makes it worth watching for entertainment value but I really don't see much substance.

My personal opinion. Of course.

Good grief. A literal .2 seconds of a "wrong" screenshot and everyone's ready to crucify bro.

The entire point was to illustrate a point! Not to be the authority on the S22 Ultra, so everyone looking at it as a review is off point af, and need a metal evaluation. Guaranteed, everyone raising their pitchforks are far from saintly yourselves.

Absolutely ridiculous how fickle everyone is these days.
