It has been claimed that Apple will use A16 and A16 Pro SoCs in its upcoming iPhone 14 series. While it was expected that the A16 would be present in the lineup for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, it was also believed that the A15 would be used in the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max. But it is now alleged that Apple will be up to a deceptive renaming scheme for the chips.

Similar story as 2021 iPhone 13, inferior APU for regular phones. At least now it will be cleared to the users that the 'pro' is better / different.

The iPhone 13 uses the same APU, the only difference is that one of the GPU cores is inactivated through chip binning to improve yields.

Why do people still listen to this guy (LeaksApplePro). He has proven time and time again to be an unreliable source of information.

Whatever the naming scheme the $700 base model will still wipe the floor with the processors in the most expensive $1200 Android phones so what does it matter?
