Early adopters of Windows 11 have been reporting several performance issues with the new OS including laggy File Explorer and context menus. That is likely to change next year as Microsoft is working on improvements to the WinUI framework including new Mica and Acrylic controls. Microsoft also said that it is accelerating offering Windows 11 to compatible devices given an overall positive feedback.

2024 Win11 getting the same flak as Windows 8.0.  Coincidentally (NOT) Windows 12 comes out that very same year offering what Windows 10 was to Win 8!
