Apple delays 5G, A14X Bionic and mini-LED iPad Pro refresh until early 2021

Rumour has it that Apple has hit a snag with the development of its mini-LED iPad Pro refresh. Apparently now launching in early 2021, the fifth-generation iPad Pro series was originally slated for a Q3 2020 release instead. Confusingly, an A14X Bionic and 5G iPad Pro may still arrive before the end of this year, though.

TBH I don't mind waiting for a real successor to iPad Pro 2018.
You, after all, are upgrading only hardware ... so why hurry with some meaningless ultrawide camera or what have you.
So far the only upgrade over 2018 are better mics ... and that is really poor reason to go for a new toy.

Ugh, please don't give me the local dimming crap, the current contrast of iPPs is already high enough, it's not worth it having to deal with ugly and inaccurate blooming for more.

On every device/display that uses local dimming, you can turn it off in settings.

Then we'll see about other aspects of the new backlight, for example will backlight uniformity be impacted by a new process? And what about the  efficiency?
