Size matters, at least according to the social media team at Fujifilm. While Xiaomi has gained plenty of attention recently for 108 MP camera in the Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro, also known as the Mi CC9 Pro in some markets, Fujifilm has sought to poke fun at the Chinese company by welcoming them to the 100 million pixel club.

The HMX is the largest smartphone CMOS in production, not as small as its competitors, also Fujifilm's team of clowns in China has pulled off various stunts in the past, including trying to mislead amateurs into believing their APS-C models are medium format.

Fuji makes only aps-c and medium format cameras, thou not all the medium format cameras have the same size of the sensor, Fuji uses the smallest medium size ones, which is still a lot larger than 35mm full frame.
Nokia 808 pure view had the biggest sensor in any smart phone ever produced.
Yes that Samsung one is the biggest one ATM produced in smartphone, that doesn`t mean it is the best.
That on the side, for anyone that knows a little bit more than number of megapixels about the cameras, know few more things about photography.
One of those things, as the number of MP increase on the small sensor, low light will be worse, as the size of the pixel is smaller, and that is just one of the things, also the optics and software is as important as sensor size.

1. Make no mistake, these claims are from official Fujifilm sources, oh and the claims actually turned out to be large format, for APS-C and 44x33 on two separate occasions, one was from an official dealer, the other was from their GFX100 announcement. Maybe they think because Huawei got away with lying like that that they could too.

2. The largest smartphone sensor was the 1" in Panasonic CM1, the 808 had 1/1.2"(4/5") which is only very slightly larger than HMX's 3/4". The pixel pitch of the HMX is exactly the same as the 48MP IMX586 used in many mid-high end smartphones before, however their software is rather barebones and that's why we need Gcam.

Xiaomi should just reply showing someone holding one of their cameras up to their ear to make a phone call.....

A classic arrogant photographer attitude, nothing new. We will see them in few years, when even bigger sensors will appear, with better lenses, and even sicker processing, in the meantime someone send this 2 links at Fuji, and tell them to shut up.

Since i cant post links, google this,

Inside the iPhone 11 Camera, Part 1: A Completely New Camera

iPhone 11 Pro vs Professional Camera - Portrait Mode

Send them this links, and let them stfu.

So many arsehurt phone lovers who cant just accept that bigger=better if comparable computing algorithms taken into account, you can take all the AI prowess and all the smartphone computing power you want, but at the end of the day, cameras are here to stay for a reason, wishful thinking aside.

The facts state that Fujifilm China is a troll. I use an a7RII myself but I don't touch Fuji and despise their tactics.
