Twice as popular as its predecessor: More than 1.3 million Samsung Galaxy Note 10 pre-orders in South Korea

Scheduled to arrive in South Korean stores on August 23, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 (and the Note 10+ models) is already twice as popular as the Galaxy Note 9. During the period that started on August 9 and ended yesterday, South Korean customers were able to place no less than 1.3 million pre-orders.

SK has 50M people, this means that more than 2% of its entire population could not only afford Samsung's flagships of the year, they're also in the market for a new phone, i.e. they didn't buy the similarly positioned S10+ nor Apple or LG offerings, and most of them didn't get a phone last year, and these are just the preorders, meaning in the coming months some 5-10% of SK's population would be on the Note 10 series alone. Do these numbers make sense?

Indeed, indeed they are, feels so depressing that much of the economy runs on stupidity, but it's true. When you consider politics much of society runs on stupidity.
